Day 33 – Mon 3rd Oct – I had a good start to the day in Isaiah 34/35 and know where I’m going for Sunday. It’s amazing what 3 uninterrupted hours can do for a sermon. In the afternoon it was warm enough to work outside! One of the men in the congregation popped in which was good and then I looked at Colossians 4, prepared for session meeting and did some reading. Tonight was our monthly session meeting. They are good, sane, wise, prayerful men. We discussed the chapter on the Lord’s Supper from the WCF ch28, talked about some pastoral issues and heard a report from Simon Arscott of the work in Ilford. It was just all round encouraging. It takes me ages to get to sleep after a session meeting.
