Day 148 – Fri 27 Feb – The day started with team meeting and lots to feedback on following the 20s and 30s weekend. I had a Pastoral call to make after the meeting with one of our families who’ve had an elderly parent die. It was good to be with them. I shared the Shorter Catechism Q37 – What benefits do believers receive from Christ at death? The souls of believers are at their death made perfect in holiness, and do immediately pass into glory; and their bodies, being still united to Christ, do rest in their graves till the resurrection.
From there I headed to Liss for another Pastoral meeting which lasted longer than I thought it would. I wasn’t back in Ealing until 5 and the day was lost. I studied in the evening and managed to finish the sermons for Sunday. This has been a hard week in lots of ways and so I’m ready for a day off .
