Day 314 – Fri 14 July – I studied for a bit in the morning then had a couple of meetings, firstly with James Bunyan the local Uccf worker, he’s a able man, solid, good disciple of guys. I’d hoped we could tempt him into the Presbyterian waters but I don’t think that’s going to happen. Afterwards I went back to the church and did some more work before meeting with a new lady to our church, she was brought up a Presbyterian in Ghana and has come back to her roots. It was a thrill to hear her testimony and desire to serve.
In the afternoon I was back painting, I listened to a couple of sermons which weren’t great but also this lecture on Martin Luther by Garry Williams from the recent EMA which is absolutely outstanding. Really well worth watching.
Nathan had done a great job while I was away and reinforcements in the form of team Lefroy arrived to help in the evening.
If you’ve not read Matthew Roberts piece on church and state you should.
