Day 329

Day 329 – Fri 28 July – Final Day of Swimming lessons, followed by the rest of  the day chilling at home. In the afternoon I popped into Belfast to the Evangelical Bookshop to meet with the Evangelism Sec of Queen’s CU. They’ve asked me to do their university mission next year so I wanted to find out a bit more about it. It all sounds very impressive and encouraging.

I read the brief book “With Him” by Ken Smith on discipling men. HE was the guy who reached out to Rosaria Butterfield and the book is a good reminder to be intentionally discipling men. He was an RP minister, lots of good reminders on how practically we can disciple. Surprisingly the church was a bit of a postscript and could have done with a much higher profile in the book, despite this it’s worth reading.

  1. I think it would be fair to say that in the RPCNA there would be a group that emphasises (navigators style) discipleship and a (growing) group that emphasises the ordinary means of grace. It tends to be either one or the other.
